The world can’t get enough of South African blues-rock wizard Dan Patlansky. Following a recent SOLD OUT Borderline show The Jazz Cafe welcomes the South African guitar virtuoso.
Dan Patlansky has been the support act for Joe Satriani’s last twenty five dates of this European Tour. PATLANSKY was selected by the legendary Satriani as special guest on the European and UK legs of his Shockwave Tour 2015 taking in twenty five shows across ten countries from 9 October to 10 November 2015.
Amidst ave reviews from European music press on the back of this tour, PATLANSKY’s 2015 UK album release ‘Dear Silence Thieves’, and 2012 album ’20 Stones’ both also reached the UK ITunes Top Twenty Blues Albums in the first week of November 2015.
PATLANSKY has also confirmed headline performances at London’s renowned venue The Borderline, as well as at the Planet Rockstock Festival in Wales in December 2015. An eight-show joint tour with British blues rockers King King in May 2016 as well as a further eighteen European shows in June 2016 are confirmed as part of the European launch of his new album ‘INTRO-VERTIGO’ which is being released worldwide in March 2016.

Famously discovered busking by Grammy Award winning producer Martin Levan,  singer/songwriter and guitarist Tristan Mackay has gone on to write and record two number one iTunes Blues albums.The release of debut album Out Along The Wire in 2012 saw Tristan promoted from performing on the high street to opening shows for Robben Ford, Eric Johnson, Beth Hart and countless others.

His second, all acoustic album Wire & Wood, released in April, received acclaim from critics, who have compared his music to Jeff Buckley, Eric Clapton and John Mayer.

His story and music has received widespread media coverage, including in The Evening Standard, The Sun and national TV and radio, and he has had features in Guitarist and Blues Magazine.

A rare crossover of blues and folk with mainstream appeal, Tristan has performed multiple live sessions and interviews for BBC Radio 2, where his songs have received national airplay as well as being used in global adverts and Channel 4’s Skins.
